WOMEN’S PENNANT wrap:
Tuesday Division 3 finished top of the ladder in their colour and played a tough game in their semi not quite making it to the grand final, but they did gain promotion to Division 2 in next seasons Pennants.
Tuesday Division 4 finished in second place and will hold their spot in division 4 again next season.
Friday Night Pennant saw the ladies finish in 4th spot, overall not a bad result.
All in All not a bad season for our Women bowlers. Well done ladies.
MEN’S PENNANT wrap
Thursday Division 2 unfortunately finished in relegation position and will play in Division 3 next season.
Thursday Division 5 Team 1 finished on top of the ladder and played a very close semi but suffered a narrow defeat. They gained automatic promotion and will play in Division 4 next season. THURSDAY Division 5 Team 2 held their spot and will play in Division 5 again next season.
Well done guy’s in what was a tough season. Next season Mid Week will comprise Division 3, 4 & 5 a much better spread for the Club.
SATURDAY
Pennant Final: Despite a great win in the semi final on Saturday afternoon Division 5 – Team1 were unable to bring home the bacon in the Sunday morning grand final, but they gained promotion to Division 4 next season. Well done all concerned for getting there. Division 5 – Team 2 held their spot and will remain in Division 5 next season while unfortunately Division 2 suffered relegation will play in Division 3 next season.
This seasons Men’s pennants were a mixed bag for the Kwinana sides. We started the season with a Division 2 side and TWO Division 5 sides – Not Ideal. Fortunately next season will see a more favourable make up with Division 3, 4 and 5 sides.
The season seemed exceptionally long this year probably due to the excessive periods of extreme heat conditions. Not too bad though considering only one round of play was abandoned due to the heat conditions.
Bowlers can now look forward to a relaxing break away from bowls OR those who can’t get enough will obviously rock up for Scroungers on Wednesday mornings 9.30 start. Winter bowls will commence soon on Thursday afternoons 1.00pm start and of course Saturday afternoon 1.00pm start.
Overall a well done Kwinana and we can’t wait for the next season to commence! (Or can we)?
WELL DONE DIVISION 5 – Team1 (pictured) on reaching the Grand Final.
